Inspiriert von meinem damaligen Entwurf von DFC (Dreambox Flash Control), habe ich das Flashinterface als eigenständige Applikation umgewandelt. Der Name DAC steht für ‘Dreambox Air Control’ und ermöglicht ein neuartiges Interface zur Steuerung der Dreambox.

DAC basiert auf Adobe AIR. Dadurch ist es möglich Flash Anwendungen oder Apps als lokale Anwendung auf einem PC zu starten. Es wird kein Browser mehr benötigt. Das Ergebnis zeigt deutliche Performancesteigerungen, und ermöglicht einen größeren kreativen Spielraum für Designmöglichkeiten. Das Webinterface-Plugin ist weiterhin auf der Dreambox notwendig. Dies stellt die Kommunikationsschnittstelle zum DAC her. Es werden alle Dreamboxen mit Enigma2 unterstützt.

Ab Version 1.2 können Livestreams oder Aufnahmen über einen bevorzugten Mediaplayer (bsplw. VLC, Windows Mediaplayer, etc.) gestreamt werden. Möglich macht das die NativeProzess Unterstützung von Adobe Air 2. Auch andere Medienformate wie beispielsweise mp3, avi, ts, mp2, divx sind kein Problem.

Hinweis für MAC OS Benutzer. Bitte in dem Mediplayer Einstellungen den Kompletten Pfad zum VLC Player eintragen.
Beispielsweise: /Users/username/Applications/VLC.app/Contents/MacOS/VLC

Vorrausetzungen für die Verwendung von DAC :

  • Das Webinterface muss auf der Dreambox installiert sein. (In vielen Images Standardmäßig vorhanden)
  • Adobe Air 2 (Download Adobe).

Nach der Installation reicht ein Doppelklick auf die ‘Dreambox Air Control’ Applikation.
